To celebrate its 130th competition, the Queensland Eisteddfod will return to Ipwich over the 2025 Easter long weekend (April 18-20). As with previous visits to Ipswich, the competition will be based out of the Ipswich Civic Centre.
Programme Books
Pre-ordered programme books for the competition have been distributed. If you ordered a programme but have not received it, please contact us at 2025@queenslandeisteddfod.org.au.
Further programmes are available for purchase from Trybooking for $10 plus $4.50 postage and handling for a Hard-Copy Programme, or $7 for a Digital Programme. Purchases made after midday on Thursday 10 April will not be posted, instead being available for collection from the Eisteddfod Office from the afternoon of Thursday 17 April.
It is recommended that all competitors obtain a programme, as competitor numbers will only be published in that book.
Tickets
All competitors, teachers, accompanists and audience members will require tickets to be admitted into the competition venues*. Tickets are available for purchase through the Ipswich Civic Centre Box Office (online here, or call (07) 3810 6100)
Season Tickets will allow entry to any venue for any session across the competition weekend, and is the more economical option for those attending more than two sessions.
Session Tickets will allow entry to any venue of the given session (eg. Friday morning).
* Competitors in Youth Choral Items (Items 116-120) will be admitted to the venue free of charge for the relevant sessions only.
Official Accompanists
For those without a programme, a summary of the weekend’s competition is now available below, including a listing of the relevant Official Accompanists for each Item.
Competitors should have received an email with contact details for the Official Accompanists. If you have not received this, please contact us urgently at 2025@queenslandeisteddfod.org.au. We ask that all competitors contact their relevant Official Accompanists by Friday 28 March, as well as having provided copies of their music, and to arrange rehearsal times.
Rehearsal fees are $15 per selection (payable by the competitor at the time of rehearsal). There is no fee payable by the competitor for the actual performance at the Eisteddfod.
Submission of Own Choice Materials
Adjudicator copies of own choice materials are to be submitted online. Please complete the following form separately for each selection being performed, no later than Friday, 28 March.

The following information about each piece will be collected: Item Number and Name, Competitor Number (if known), Title of Selection, Title of larger work if applicable (required for Opera, Music Theatre, or Sacred Oratorio/ Cantata, Character Recital or Duologue; optional if applicable for other items), Composer/Author of Selection.
We ask that each piece be submitted as a single PDF file, using the following naming format if possible: [Item No.]–[Competitor No.]–[Title of Piece].
eg. For Competitor 3 in Item 101, performing the set piece: 101-3-As Torrents in Summer.pdf
Each competitor (soloist / duo / trio / quartet / ensemble / choir) in musical items must also complete and submit a Copyright Declaration Form, listing all music that the competitor will perform at the eisteddfod (ie. both set pieces and own choice selections), submitted online along with any one piece of own choice music. All competitors must complete Sections 1, 2, 5 and, if applicable, 3.
